There's a ton of maps that have been added, seasonal updates, and there's an overwhelming number of weapons to master. It's still being worked on, so it's not a finished product, and you can email the developer your concerns and they may actually choose to include it. Not many games sell for $30 that are half this good. They complain about free, they complain about bug fixes, they probably are just as entitled and annoying in real life. Allot of complaints go up here, but after playing you will see that some people are just problematic. It's the gameplay that gets you, the way teammates depend on each other and the skills and thought requirements to be successful as each class, each class has it's jobs it does for the team, different strengths and weaknesses and how they work together, what to focus on and when, and what not to do to get your team killed. I originally saw the gory "zeds" and thought it was gonna be a cheap knockoff, not really my style. A long match as medic, and you'll still enjoy another long match as demo. This is the only zombie style game that's even come close, but in my opinion the perk classes make it more exciting and more varied gameplay, which keeps it from getting dull as quickly. I love COD Zombies, and have been playing that for years. Or you can go commando, keeping your underwear on, but running around with an assault rifle mowing down hordes. One game you are keeping your team alive as medic, next your demo blowing up the big zeds before they kill your team, and then you can even get a sword and go berserker to relieve some stress chopping off zombie heads. Every game is different, based on the team in that server, and running the different perks. It's actually very fun and rewarding.Īll that politics/economy aside, it's about the game. It's not pay to win, and it's totally fine if you only purchase the game and just grind to earn your own unique character customization, you won't regret it or feel left out. I don't plan on purchasing anything, and that's ok. I've also unlocked multiple camos for guns and accessories for my character, like probably 10 this month, for free, just for finishing daily/weekly challenges and recycling any of the crates that require a key (purchase) to open. If someone joins your lobby with dlc you will even get to try the new guns out for free, and can then buy if you like it that much.

I just started playing in the past few months, and I don't regret it at all. It's a fun game, you won't be missing anything if you don't buy the optional guns.
